BMDI

Needle disposal is becoming an increasing concern throughout the world. Here at BMDi, we’ve created the optimum solution to the disturbing occurrence of used needles being recycled in less fortunate countries. BMDi has developed two models of Needle cutters the Mini Portable and the Standard Mounted nomoresharps® systems, both systems are available for use by healthcare facilities in developing countries to help provide safe disposal of sharps. The nomoresharps® system is simple to use and combines a high-grade stainless steel cutting device with a secure caged sharps container. Once the needle & syringe is inserted in the aperture, the nomoresharps® system will cut the hub from the syringe, destroying both the syringe and the needle, allowing the needle pieces to fall straight into the sharps container.See our detailed information on the Mini Portable and the Standard Mounted nomoresharps® systems and feel free to contact us for more information.

MINI SYSTEM PORTABLE NEEDLE DISPOSAL SYSTEM 400 mL

Australian Standards: AS 4031-1992
Standards Conformance: BS 7320:1990
Designed for use in developing countries where mass immunization and curative care programs undertaken, the nomoresharps® Mini system combines a high-grade stainless steel cutting device connected to a security caged sharps container. With the needle & syringe tip inserted in the cutting aperture, the nomoresharps® system will amputate the hub from the syringe, destroying both the syringe and the needle, allowing the needle pieces to fall straight into the sharps container.

The remaining unusable syringe goes then to waste or recycling. The BMDi nomoresharps® provides an extremely efficient and cost effective method of sharps disposal. It has been developed primarily for use in the healthcare and hospital industry in third world and developing countries, as well as in vaccination programs sponsored by WHO, the UN, PATH and UNICEF to provide safe disposal of used needles

Safty Syringes
MANUAL RETRACTABLE SYRINGES WITH OR WITHOUT NEEDLES

Available in 3 mL/cc, 5 mL/cc, 10 mL/cc

The BMDI Safety Retractable syringe engages the needle carrier in the plunger at the end of the injection stroke. Upon retraction of the plunger the needle is withdrawn safely into the barrel of the syringe, encapsulating the needle and eliminating the possibility of needle-stick injury.
